Mama

This is a painting to be given as a birthday present to a very special person. Mum. 

She never liked photos, cameras and staff like that, so I'm not so sure that she will be very pleased with a portrait of herself.

The photo represents everything that my mum is, a very giving person, always there for everybody, very rational and fair, and the most brave woman I have ever met. 

I usually start my paintings by doing the eyes and then the rest of the face.

This time, I started from the hair and the background. I found that painting a hand, is a difficult thing to do.  

It is not finished yet, so any comment would be more than usefull.
