old house

This painting is inspired from a photo I took 2 years ago in the historic center of Athens. The house was so beautiful, yet so abandoned that took my attention. I love the architecture of old houses, it's a pity nobody cares to repair those lovely homes. I wonder what happened to its owners, what would the story of their life be like?
I've never done a house before, it seemed like an easy job, but the truth is that I was tired with all the details I had to paint,  and I didn't paint them all!! For this painting I used only four colours ( white, black, brown and blue). When I started it ,I thought it propably would come out boring, but at the end I  think it went pretty good.
Too bad the colors of the photos posted never look exactly the ones of my paintings. For some reason  they're darker.
I must be doing something wrong when taking photos of my paintings.
