Παπαδιαμάντης Αλ.

This is a portrait of our famous Greek novelist Alexandros Papadiamandis, a boem writer who lived and died poor, never saw his work published. I did this painting in order to participate to an exhibition that will take place shortly, with a good friend of mine who also paints, without the encouragement of whom, I'd never dare to exhibit. - my husband's as well, never forget the closest ones!!!-
My reference photo was black and white. I actually made up the whole thing. I only knew the direction of  light, not the colors.
